Sea buckthorn berries, a northern fruit, a tropical taste
Originating in Russia, sea buckthorn is now cultivated in Canada as part of an emerging agriculture. It is very well adapted to our climate and in recent years, we have begun seeing naturalized trees growing here and there. It will likely establish itself permanently on our territory.
The fruit is highly acidic and reminds one of mango, passionfruit and citrus. Our jam is handmade with lots of fruit and a minimum of organic sugar to help bring out all or it flavour.
