Wow! What a beautiful piece of equipment. It’s been hanging up in the barn all summer. It takes up space, but it’s the perfect size for me. Sturdy and well-designed.
I was surprised by their volume. They are very practical for people with a house or an outdoor shed. In an apartment, they still take up space. However, I love that you can remove two trays at a time. Depending on the time of the harvest season, 2 or 4 trays are enough. It does a great job of drying. It’s quality! A quick vacuum at the end of the season and boom, packaging that really doesn’t take up space.
I recommend it!
If Gourmet Sauvage ever has the chance to offer a smaller size; that would be awesome!
Bulky, I set up my hoops under a big pine tree, right in front of the cabin… the wind and the sun do the rest! Very clever storage system. A note to future users who dry outside; it might be wise to “weight” the lowest hoop so that the wind doesn’t knock over your harvest.
