This is a rich and complex mix that pairs well with sauces, risottos, and meats. It enhances the taste of stews and adds a woody touch to warm salads.

Rehydrate the mushrooms in a liquid (water, broth, milk, wine, etc.) until they are plump (the time varies depending on whether the liquid is hot or cold), then incorporate them into your recipe. Remember to save the rehydration liquid by filtering it; it’s full of the good taste of mushrooms! If your recipe already includes liquid, no need to pre-rehydrate the mushrooms.

The mushrooms can be used whole, cut into pieces, or reduced to powder in a food processor.
